What is microplastics?
I took an upper-level class during my college years that focused on teaching advanced digital media principles. Throughout the course, I had the opportunity to put these principles into practice by creating engaging content for various clients within the campus and local community. Among them was Clean Virginia Waterways, for whom I had the privilege of filming an educational video on the topic of microplastics. To ensure high-quality footage, I utilized top-of-the-line equipment including a 4K video camera, a Lavalier microphone, and a sturdy tripod. Once the filming process reached completion, I expertly edited the video using Adobe Premiere Pro.
To start, I made necessary adjustments to enhance the video quality, as the filming occurred outdoors in an area with inconsistent lighting. By cleverly manipulating the brightness and shadows, I successfully eliminated any unwanted shadows that could have hindered the visibility of the subject's face. Moving on, I amplified the audio levels as the subject's voice lacked the desired volume. Additionally, given the unavoidable presence of background noise caused by the outdoor setting, I strategically incorporated captivating music to effectively mask any undesirable noises and deliver a seamless viewing experience. Lastly, to help understand microplastics, the transitions are definitions of different concepts, and stock photos are used to enhance the topic.
